Professional Staff - Christina, Kristen, Katerra and Dayna

Our staff have many years of experience caring for pets in many different environments including SPCA, Pet Shelters and Pet Smart.

  • Christina - is a Certified Veterinarian Assistant who previously worked for a local clinic before becoming a stay-at-home mother raising 4 children. She enjoys the great outdoors. Her hobbies include camping, hiking and fishing. Christina is happy to be back caring for dogs and cats and one-day dreams to live on a hobby farm with animals.

  • Kristen - has lived beside the kennel for the last 7 years and started working shifts in 2019. She has 3 children that keep her very busy and active in the community. She loves stepping out her front door and walking to work and caring for your amazing pets. Kristen is a very empathetic person. Prior to this, she was a support worker, caring for people. Her hobbies are refurbishing furniture, painting and socializing around a good campfire.

  • Katerra - has 6 years of kennel experience. She is a dog and horse lover and has been barrel racing since she was 2 years old. Katerra is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist and loves to help nervous and shy dogs find their confidence and joy during dog playgroups and socialization. She has 3 dogs of her own and spends her free time outside with her them. Her dream is to one day own her own dog boarding and activity facility, and continue working on horses and barrel racing on the side.

  • Dayna – To say that Dayna is obsessed with animals is an understatement. She has lived on a farm with cows, chickens, pigs, ducks, cats and dogs for 20 years and has worked on a local dairy farm. Dayna has never been without a dog or two in her life. Her love for them is unconditional. She currently owns a Brazilian Mastiff "Mila" who is her best friend. While taking full-time college classes to become a Veterinarian, Dayna tries to do a few shifts per week at the kennel. Her hobbies are hiking in the mountains, and cooking and baking.

All staff members are required to maintain knowledge and expertise in dog behaviours through ongoing training and certification in DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid.
