Kathy Kish is a local gal and the owner of Green Acres Pet Care Centre since 2015. She was born and raised in Abbotsford BC on a dairy farm which in addition to all those cows, always included a variety of dogs big and small. Kathy is certified in DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid and is prepared to competently handle any situation while providing regular monitoring of every guest's general health.

"It will be an honour to care for your pets while in our kennel and to have your new and continued loyalty and referrals."

Professional Staff - Alexandra, Alivia Kelly and Kim

Our staff have many years of experience caring for pets in many different environments including SPCA, Pet Shelters and Pet Smart.

  • Alexandra works part-time and has her Master Dog Trainer Certificate from Highland. Her long-term goal is to train service dogs.
  • Alivia started summer work at the kennel when she was 15 years old and after completing Grade 12 became a full-time employee. You will see Alivia at the kennel 6 days per week caring for your dogs and cats. She is hardworking and very dedicated to the well being of your pets. She loves caring and interacting with each guest. Alivia lives in the country close to the kennel with her family and they share a family dog by the name of Odie - a Maremma who is extremely loved.
  • Kelly is an animal lover. She has an elderly Boston Terrier, Angus that is blind now, along with 3 adorable cats. Kelly enjoys reading, crafting and horseback riding. She splits her shifts between the kennel and hoof trimming dairy cows for Kathy's husband at Ar-Pe Hooftrimming.
  • Kimberly was born and raised in Sumas Prairie. She spent her whole life on a farm looking after a variety of animals, including dogs and cats. She was in 4H for 11 years where she raised and trained dairy calves. In her free time, she likes to go for walks with her dog Fluffy, help out at a homeless shelter and do woodworking.

All staff members are required to maintain knowledge and expertise in dog behaviours through ongoing training and certification in DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid.
